About Bowman Bracketology
Bowman Bracketology is a site that's dedicated to accurately predicting the field of 68 in the NCAA tournament. By analyzing overall record, RPI, caliber of wins and losses, and strength of schedule from the start of the college basketball season, UT Bro League bracketology expert Alex Bowman tracks seeding projections for likely tournament teams and updates them regularly as the season progresses. A greater emphasis is placed on games between tournament hopefuls than in most other bracketologies, while still taking strength of non-tournament-caliber opponents into account. Seeds projected to be given to non-at-large conference champions are not included on earlier versions of the seed list, and are shown as "Auto" on the bracket. As conference tournaments conclude in March, these seeds will be updated to reflect the list of teams receiving automatic bids.
Since 2014, this site has been included in The Bracket Matrix, a project that analyzes multiple bracketology sites to generate an overall, composite bracket. Bowman Bracketology is ranked as a top 50 site on The Bracket Matrix in terms of accuracy ahead of Sports Illustrated, Yahoo Sports, CBS Sports, and New York Daily News.
